Non Destructive Testing

Non-destructive testing (NDT)

are the complex of examinations, tests and surveys carried out using methods that do not alter the material and do not require the destruction or removal of samples from the structure under examination, aimed at finding and identifying defects in the structure itself. The abbreviation NDT is often used, derived from the English expression Non Destructive Testing, or the abbreviation PnD, derived from the expression "Prove non Distruttive".
